The MS-DOS port was digitally released by Rebellion Developments along with its sequel and Pinball Mania on February 22, 2011 on GOG.com with support for Microsoft Windows. It received an OS X build on April 23, 2013; and a Linux build on August 19, 2014. Pinball Dreams is a four-table pinball simulation created by Digital Illusions. (Only one is available in the demo.) The tables in the full version include Ignition, Steel Wheel, Beat Box, Nightmare.

There were rumors that Digital Illusions made a special HD-installed version of Pinball Dreams for their friends in the scene. Many Amiga games couldn't be installed on a hard drive as a copy protection measure.
